Top 4 School Excuses to Get Out of Stuff (from my own experience)
The unpressed submit button, the notes-page alibi, and two more. Flagged by the editor as satire — probably.

Here at Valor, we strive to be the best, whether that's in academics, athletics, music, or any other category. We aim to be at the top. This intense mindset can also apply to our excuses for the occasional slacking off. From missing half the class to being 3 months due for an assignment, to accidentally falling asleep when there's an assignment due, students at Valor encounter a vast spectrum of setbacks and ordeals. In response to these life-or-death situations, we have developed (or at least I) equally effective deterrents to save ourselves from self-inflicted demise. Some of these top-tier excuses are listed below and are guaranteed by some of the schools top students.
"I forgot to press the submit button"
A Valor classic. When everything is decided on Google Classroom, this button becomes the difference between an A and a D, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Picture this: the assignment is finished, you swear it was ready, but somehow the final click never happened. This is exactly what your teacher sees, and exactly what you must exploit as per our Valor way. It's believable and effective because almost everyone has done it at least once.
"It was my notes page"
KakaoTalk is an essential part of our life in our school community, used to communicate with each other during and between classes. School rules dictate, however, that using this mid-class is prohibited and restricted. Despite this, Valor students have learned to overcome these limitations through innovative problem solving and flexible thinking. Utilising the shared color scheme of our beloved Kakao app and the notes page, students are able to fraudulently disguise themselves as keen note-takers rather than uninterested socialites, dispelling any "false" accusation of chatting. Truly a prime example of the Valor spirit.
"I had diarrhea"
An undefeatable champion for when you disappear from class for unexplainable amounts of time. Whether you are 10 minutes late to class or have vanished for more than half of it, this simple phrase explains it all. Nobody wants details, nobody asks follow-up questions, everyone understands, and so the conversation ends immediately. Whether it's true or not, this excuse wins because everyone once had their own perilous battle in the dark corners of the bathroom and can sympathize with your fabricated struggle.
"I don't think I was awake for that class"
In most schools, students move to redeem themselves for their lacking behaviour and drowsiness. Here at Valor, however, we have evolved to use poor behaviour as a key to redemption. When your teacher is drilling you over not knowing details on some sort of assignment, you hit them with "uuhh I think I was asleep for that part". There's nothing they can realistically do except moving on and excusing you, liberating you from punishment and liability.
