Valor Times is the student newspaper of Valor International School, covering school news, culture, opinion, science, food, comics and the Bible section. We publish 80 stories from the printed issues — Vol. 3 and Vol. 4 — across 8 desks, made by the 27 people whose names are on the back page.
The standard
How we work
- 01
Report first
Nothing runs because it sounds true. Every number has a source we can name, and every claim about a person has been put to that person first.
- 02
Show the working
If we counted something, we say how we counted it and how many we missed. A method paragraph is not an admission of weakness.
- 03
Argue in the open
Opinion is signed, labelled, and separated from reporting. If you disagree with a piece, the byline tells you exactly who to find.
- 04
Correct fast
Corrections run under the masthead, not under the writer. We would rather be embarrassed on Tuesday than wrong forever.
