Olivia Rodrigo Releases Two New Singles

After more than 2 years since the release of Guts, Olivia Rodrigo is finally back with a new album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love". While the official release of the album is this upcoming June 12th, Olivia has pre released two songs before the big drop.

The release of "drop dead" immediately sparked discussion among fans on whether the song is referenced to Rodrigo's recent rumored breakup with actor Louis Partridge. Although, neither Rodrigo nor Partridge has confirmed the rumors, they both weren't seen together after the rumored breakup. Many fans quickly began analyzing the lyrics and searched for hidden meanings behind the song. One line of the lyrics goes, "Pisces and a Gemini, But I think we might go really nice together". Not so surprisingly, Olivia is a Pisces and Louis is a Gemini. There are many ways in interpreting this song and some even believe Olivia has changed the direction of the album after the breakup. In a recent british vogue interview, Olivia Rodrigo revealed that her upcoming album was heavily inspired by her time in London. "I've spent so much time here over the course of making this album. It has a lot of songs that are London vibes, about experiences that I've had here," she said. However, again, not surprisingly, Louis Partridge is from London.

Regardless of the rumors and gossip, Rodrigo herself has expressed her love toward the new album. In a recent interview, she mentioned that this album is her favorite one so far and fans seem to also agree. With her previous albums, SOUR and GUTS, becoming massive successes, fans are excited to see what Olivia has been preparing over the past 2 years.
