Haaland Equals Ronaldo's Record with 12 Consecutive Games

Erling Haaland has finally stood shoulder to shoulder with Cristiano Ronaldo, scoring in 12 consecutive matches.

On October 22, Manchester City defeated Villarreal 2-0 in the third match of the Champions League phase. With two wins and one draw, City remained in fifth place in the league phase standings. The team also extended its unbeaten run in all competitions to nine games (7 wins, 2 draws).

From the very start, City pressed hard. In the 17th minute, Haaland opened the scoring by powerfully finishing Rico Lewis's low cross inside the box. In the 40th minute, Bernardo Silva widened the gap with a header from Savinho's cross. The match ended without any surprises, a 2–0 victory for Man City.

With this goal, Haaland reached another milestone. Including matches for both Manchester City and the Norwegian national team, he has now scored 24 goals in his last 14 appearances. By scoring against Villarreal, he equaled Ronaldo's personal record of goals in 12 consecutive matches.
