Clocking Into the New Schedule

This year we had this new schedule that has been affecting how we manage our time daily. Before, classes ran from 8:30 to 3:00 not including the special block, and we had office hours from 3:00 to 4:30. Now, high school morning programs have resurfaced and study halls have been moved to 8:30-10:40 depending on the day. At first this seemed like it felt most if we had the free time to spend later on the day, but it does not always feel that way.

In the morning, students have one or two hours to study and to finish the work that they have to do. Students who are fully focused can use this time beneficially for their academies success. Catching up with homework, studying for tests, or finishing assignments. However, not everyone uses the time this way. Some students talk, have a club meeting, doom scrolling, playing video games, going for a walk etc.

Friday is a pretty exceptional day for valor this year because most students have only one class that is done by the world course block, leaving time for study halls or special blocks. If used productively, this time and this time can improve competently and help students finish homework before going home.
